Holidays on the Home Front is an opportunity to create memories with family in a unique setting. Despite rationing, separation from loved ones, and long hours working in the defense industry, Americans on the Home Front during World War II honored holiday traditions with family and friends.
Activities in the Hangar Gallery include: popsicle sticks ornaments, mini flower pot bells, tissue paper collages, and cookie decorating.
While the youngsters are making a special gift for a loved one, check out our featured exhibit, “A Legacy Remembered”, honoring the perseverance and determination of the American Glider Pilot both at the inception of their service and decades later to make sure their story would live on.
