Small Business Saturday Author Meet & Greet @ Wild Lark Books

Our 1 Year Anniversary is just around the corner (December 8th) during which we have three other new book releases we’ll be celebrating, so we’re using Small Business Saturday as an occasion to celebrate a little early.

As a bookshop, Wild Lark Books likes to bring intimate literary experiences of all sorts to our readers. As a publisher, we focus on breaking down barriers to bringing stories to shelves and honor authors as artists. With that, we’ve been exploring processes for publishing short stories as stand-alone publications reminiscent of dime novels. There is something wonderful about the idea of picking up a quick read that can fit in your pocket and travel with you in life.

“The Shift” was that experiment. Written by B. Jamison (or Brianne van Reenen), this short story shares an adventure from her travels right before opening the little bookshop on Broadway, and the pictures above the bookshelves are from that very trip. You can even spot some of the main places and characters from the story in other pieces hanging on the walls within Wild Lark Books.
